How I work with clients

As an attachment-based therapist, I believe that healing happens through connection. Our early relationships shape how we see ourselves and how we relate to others — sometimes in ways we don’t even realize. In my work with adults, children, and families, I gently help clients explore these patterns with warmth and curiosity, not judgment. Together, we work to create relationships that feel safe, supportive, and secure, nurturing a stronger sense of self, trust, and emotional well-being.

My experience

For over 25 years, I have supported children, youth, adults, and families in finding safety, connection, and hope within the relationships that matter most. My career began in a crisis shelter, counselling children and mothers escaping domestic violence. Then, it expanded to working in 2 major school divisions, advocating for students with complex needs and guiding their families toward wellness and meaningful connection. Those two decades of work focused on helping youth, parents, and families navigate the world with neurodivergent minds (ADHD, Anxiety, and Autism, in particular), often complicated by grief, trauma, and neglect. School anxiety and school avoidance were the primary referral reasons to my services. Children and youth learned how to thrive just as they are, parents learned how to meet the emotional needs of their children, and families learned how to strengthen their connections with each other and their community.

Outside of the Therapy Room

When I am not working or learning, I make sure I create time in the busyness of life to fill my soul. That usually involves nature!

Whether I am kayaking on a lake with one or both of my daughters, walking my Brittany Spaniel in the mountains, or curling up with a good book on my patio, I find calmness and joy feeling the sun and fresh air on my skin.

Please enjoy all my personal photos on this website. I want to share the magic of the mountains with you, hoping they may bring you a sense of solitude and grounding as they always bring me!
